Supporting Field Data Collection with Survey123
Presenter: Tom Schwartzman, Esri
In this workshop you will learn how to use Survey123 for ArcGIS to optimize form-centric data collection workflows in your organization. Through hands-on exercises you will learn how design effective smart forms and how to make them available for data capture from web browsers, smartphones and tablets. We will discuss how to analyze all information captured as well as how to create powerful real-time dashboards to monitor field activities.
No previous knowledge of ArcGIS or GIS is required. At a minimum, bring a laptop or tablet to create surveys and dashboards. Optionally, have Excel (or equivalent) and Survey 123 tools installed on laptop.

Building Apps with WebApp Builder and the Operations Dashboard
Presenter: Adam Ziegler, Esri
Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS provides a foundation for building web applications in ArcGIS. Build intuitive, focused apps that run anywhere, on any device, without writing a single line of code. Operations Dashboard offers a comprehensive and engaging view of your data, to provide key insights for at-a-glance decision making. It helps you monitor people, services, assets or events by bringing together multiple visualizations that work together on a single screen and are responsive to data that updates in real-time. Join Esri in this half day workshop to learn how you can configure your own applications and dashboards for your organization.
Map Projections and Datums, OH MY!
Presenter: Scott Lokken, National Geodetic Survey
The National Geodetic Survey (NGS) is working on replacing NAD 83 and NAVD 88 in 2022. This presentation will summarize the plans for developing new geometric reference frames and a geopotential (vertical) datum for national use. GNSS and a purely gravimetric geoid model known as GEOID2022 will play a critical role for referencing surveys to these new reference frames and datum. NGS is also developing a tool for transforming geospatial coordinates from NAD 83 and NAVD 88 to the new reference frames and datum in 2022. Surveyors can help improve the accuracy of this tool by collecting GNSS data on bench marks, sharing results using OPUS-Share, and submitting surveys for publication using OPUS-Projects.
